DOESN'T take away the 3D look! Looks good. Escher would likely have found the idea somewhat interesting at least.

Been an Escher fan for years and I think this is one of the best non rendered colorizations I've seen. Great work.

Escher is an amazing artist. It is difficult to find a Web site that has so many awesome pics you of this quality. This photograph is incredible in black and white, but the colr adds life and vibrance to this picture.

Its supposed to symbolise life and death, the lizard growing up, slowly getting to the highest peak and then returning back down to the bottom where it joins everyone else until it is reborn once again.
But I love your recolour it does make it alot more interesting, good work.

The human concept of art is an escape from reality, a brief encounter with a ficticious thought, your mind's flirtation with an external fantasy.

it's all right....I think the B&W is more interesting.

This is wonderful! I've always found Escher's work interesting, and I think the color gives it more life, but I also noticed that you left some of it in its original B&W so there isn't too, much color, and it still reminds those who view it, of the original - Nice job! ^_^

Nice colouring, though I prefer the original - something about the lizards changing colour slightly undermines the classic oddness of the original for me. Still good, though.

Only just come across this one. It is brilliant! I liked the original in b&w but what you have done is BETTER! Most definitely one of my favourites. Very well done.
