This photograph is the last of four photos called The Blues Collection and originally published by Verkerke Productions. The photo is made in the mid '90 and taken on film and not digital edit. Specifications: Sinar 7" x 5", Kodak film process E6, Scheider 240mm, Broncolor I hope you like it as much as the previous posted photo's of this serie. By uploading this last picture you also have an idea how a commercial publisher demands are to have consistenty in a serie (hoping someone will buy all four. lol) For me these 4 pictures was (just) an assignment and was taken allmost 20 years ago, but I still like them nowadays. The next picture I will upload will be something completely different more "my dark side"...., wait and see. The title will be "Tortures the Mind and Talent. Regards, Evert van Kuik

Hello Evert: so here is yet another one of your beautiful photo creations. The Saxophone is such a wonderful instrument. I've always loved the sound of it. So smooth and "bloozey" a jazzy sound that I love. As always the types of lighting you choose for each of your creations is just perfect. You certainly know how to put these photos together! Of course, the suitcases and the old fan fits perfectly also. An absolutely magnificent photo. I'm so glad you are posting these, they are so unusual. And I am looking forward to the new posting...how exciting! Verena

Evert, don't like to say that much about this photograph as we already know that they're part of a professional series. Can still remember that these kind of 'posters' in the past could be bought in a lot of special Dutch shops (and perhaps foreign shops too). Can't however remember clear those particular ones. Appreciate that you are giving us detailed and very interesting background-information as well.
I'm very curious for your next post to come.
Regards, Cornelius.

Thank you for posting your series, Evert. They all have been wonderful photos. They all can tell a story about a lonely musician, and to me, they all have the atmosphere of New Orleans here in the states. Just my take on them. I, too, can't wait to see what your next posting will be. Have a great weekend.

The canister lights, the fan, the essential hat, the lit mouthpiece. There's not a detail left out of this series that you need to tell the whole story. What I've seen in them all is the story of the road. Detroit, Chicago, Muddy Waters and Howlin Wolf. I've had a great afternoon with them, now if you'll excuse me I've got a craving for some Elmore James
