Silence Broken. It took me some time to upload another picture mainly because personal reasons (s.a. health). This picture was a client related assignment with one simple briefing: (street) tiles in a "poetic way" and were part of a commercial brochure about tiles. I was free in any way to come up with a solution how to "translate" a ordinary street tile into a nice "poetic" picture. This is the result. It took me and my first assistant several days (for each picture) to create a different approach as we usually look at street tiles. Moments of Frozen Silence. I'll hope you like it. Technical data: Hasselblad, 120mm, Phase One H20 digital back, Broncolor, Photoshop CS3

I hope this was a first take. I would hate to think yo broke a lot of glasses, and spilled a lot of wine getting this. LOL. It's easy to see this is professionally done. Fantastic collage, Evert. I hope you are doing well.

Hi Jim.. it took us about 20 glasses to get it broken in a nice way and the wine almost exploding from the glass. So no... it was not the first take LOL. Thnx for your compliments (also JQ)

You are a true artist Evert. What a most interesting photo, I wish I could read the poem that goes with it. And the smaller side photos...they all tell such a story. I am amazed at the time you must have taken to take this photo. But it did turn out so grand. I would like to ask you if I could use the title "Moments of Frozen Silence" for a new poem of my own. Would that be alright? Thank you for a most thought provoking posting. I am so glad to see it. And I hope with all my heart that you are beginning to feel better. Verena

Good people are good because they've come to wisdom through failure. We get very little wisdom from success, you know.

Action is reaction in this case....because the glass is still hanging in the air after breaking.

The red of the wine is the eveningred and the passion which is coming back in your poem.

It fits so perfectly together.

All 4 off them are great pictures:))

+faves for me.

What an amazing piece of work. The title captivated me with the broken glass symbolizing the broken silence (for me at least!)
Saving this on my harddrive.
Thanks for sharing this with me!
