Another shot of the old building in San Angelo. This one was taken at the back of the building.

A very unique shot of something that would normally not even be noticed. It certainly shows great contrast and texture ....very very nice!! And I also like the darkness behind the tattered cloth...it gives great depth....verena

Ah, I like photographs of old structures. They whisper to the viewer's imagination of times past. This place was once loved enough by someone to decorate it's windows with soft linen curtains that would flutter in the breeze. Then it was abandoned. Left for ruin and rot. Until a photographer came along, who saw beauty in it still, and captured that beauty to share with the world. Lovely photograph! Wonderful focus on textures. And the blowing tatters of the curtain suggest that this old building has life and breath in it yet.

I love work that has depth...makes a person "think" about it. I found myself looking at the paint layers in the door frame...wondering what it used to be with each color/ each layer...what history and experiences has been seen there and peeled away thru time.

I really like this photo because it is truly unique. You did a great job of capturing this with the darkness behind.

I also wanted to thank you for the comment on Reading Palms. I really like that shot as well but for some reason it went from a 70-something rating down to a 14 when they changed to the random voting system. Oh well :) I'm glad you enjoyed it~

This is really strong imagery and a great eye for spotting it. Love the soft, horizontal tatters against the vertical hardscape with its faded paint. This detail shot really speaks about forgotten places.
