Hello Randy: Some image you have here. I like the way it gives a sense of depth; it draws you in towards the center of the image. When making an image like this I would suggest that something be placed at the center as the main subject. Right now there is a lot of beauty here but no main subject, other than the surrounding leaves and color.
Being in the military I don't know how much extra cash you have but I would also suggest that you invest in a polarizing filter. Using it correctly will help eliminate some of the hot spots in images like this.
