Thank you Fifthbeatle & LakeMichigan. I bought a mason jar at an antique store that had a lable on it that read "Jar of Junk" inside was several neat items including these old thimbles & since I am a quilter I was pleased with my "jar of junk", it was a neat find for sure. :)

But I have something that you do not have - a wooden cloth hanger with the inscription: "Sendker & Berling, Herrengarderoben, Harburg-Elbe". My guess is that this goes back to 1939-44.
