In 1873 the site of Cook Park was proclaimed as a park and in 1882 it was officially named in honour of Captain James Cook. Today it is a favourite place for the people of Orange to picnic and relax.

That's the perfect place for a date... With the couple sitting on the railings :)
This is a nice and cheerful place and that is how I got this idea.

I remember these very well in parks as a kid...seldom seen these days except in some little out-of-the-way towns and villages...the color of this one looks nice surrounded by all that greenery and earthy tones...lovely shot.
