I took this on boxing day when my family went for our boxing day walk. The original of this photo was slightly overexposed and had a really soft focus and with the sun behind the tree it gave a real dreamlike quality to it. I also liked the fact that they were venturing towards this white nothingness beyond the fence and this exaggerated the dreaminess of the whole photo. Then I manipulated it with paint shop pro and this is the outcome. What do you think? Any criticisms, thoughts, suggestions? Thanks a lot for looking.

Looks like a well composed watercolour.I would like to have seen it before you manipulated it.

An interesting shot. My first impression was that I didn't like it, but on closer examination I must say that it is well balanced and composed and I agree that it has a sort of water colour effect. I wondr though if you might have turned up the contrast more and made it really stronger and more like a water colour? Just a thought.

You did a nice job with Paint Shop, giving it a soft effect. Kind of a enchanting and dreamlike as you said.

Hey Aston,
I think you've given the image a great feel, in line with the "flaws" of the original, kind of turning a sows ear into a silk purse. One thing that might improve it is adding some gradient colour to all that whiteness. I was thinking a radial gradient with the centre of the sun as the radiating point, or some kind of starburst effect, maybe pastel pink or blue light, just so it's not simply detail free whiteness in so much of the image. You've already got the comp, no problem there.
