...this archway leads from the back of Tatton Mansion through to the courtyard. Tatton Mansion was originally built in the early 1500's but was rebuilt in the early 1700's. The land surrounding it - Tatton Park with its deer and mere is all part of the estate. I was expecting a knight in shining armour to appear at any moment! ;)

Very clear. I like the way the shadows are on the side of the building and the sun right there on the ground bringing your eye to the doorway on the left.

I think I see Dan ( Kidder) coming now LOL. Excellent composition Patti. I love the shadows of the archway and also how you're teasing us with just a glimpse of what's inside and also the doorway to the left looks very interesting too.

I really enjoy wallpapers that you can step in to. This one is perfect for daydreaming! I can imagine the knight riding up on his horse as well... what a lovely shot. Great work!

Thats not shining armor Eileen, it's just my silver spurs. LOL Awesome photo Patti! Your architecture over there is something else; very neat! I like hearing the history behind it all too, Patti! I really like the sun shining through the archway! Nicely done!! ~Dan

HAVE YOU THANKED YOUR CAEDES MODS LATELY? It is too easy to whine when things go wrong and too hard to thank people for the things they do for you on site: just think about it....GIVE A MOD A HUG or even a GROPE today.....just do it....:)

Ah yes...trekking for another pint. Nice pic and appears to be a nice place to be hunting for brew. Good job.

Patti, I would rather expect Hugh Grant in the doorway [absent-minded like in Sense and Sensibility] ...Well, everyone has HER own knight in shining armour ... LOL

Love the lighting in this. And, the capture of the stone really came out good with accurate colors. A knight in shining armor....hark! Do I hear hoofbeats? Great work.
