....lining the canal and taken from the bridge in the opposite direction to the one I posted last night. :) - :O I like the whirly bird thingy on top of that boat!
How peaceful this is Patti. The reflection of the clouds in the water is very serene. Do you suppose the whirly bird thing is a TV antenna? If so, it sure is decorative. You've done a great job here with composition, clarity and color. Very well done.
All the wonders you seek are within yourself. Always glad to see visitors at My Gallery and thanks for your continued kind words and constant support. Anita
you can go right into the city centre if you want Jen - there is a network of canals. Higher Poynton where I took the photograph is part way along the Macclesfield Canal which you can see in this map and you can also see how it links up with the other canals in the area. :) Patti

Those boats look so cool! I'd really like to see a side view of them too! (hint,hint.. LOL) I think the thing you call a whirlybird is a power generator to keep the batteries charged. I've seen those used on campers & ice shacks here. I'd love to go for a ride on these..looks like fun! Let me know when you buy yours Patti. LOL Nice capture! C):-)
Very nice picture...just loverly. Whirly bird thingy...hee hee...silly girl...that's a sea going helicopter. Good thing you have me to keep you from embarrassing yourself.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Well done Patti, giving us all an interesting and different view of our beautiful country. Michael Douglas once had a holiday on one of these a few years back.

That 'Whirly thing' is a portable 'power generator'....You know, just like those wind turbines?....charges the boats batteries!......Now that I have parted with that astonishing information, which you all probably say 'So-What'?
The image is a beauty Patti.....I will get on to Wor Pat (above) and try to explains these simple thinks in simple Eeeengleeeesh for her!....Seriously PAtti
We (Wor-Lass)truly enjoyed ourselves on one of these...they are definetly a 'Home-from-Home' on a boat....Terrific memeories you have giving me with this.....thank you........Bob
These look like the perfect "home away from home" on the weekend and vacations Patti. I see a few houseboats around where I live but most people here are camper crazy. I think I'd rather stay on the boat LOL. Thanks Patti!
I like the whirly bird thingy too. and the reflections in the water. Do people live on these boats?
