yes they are that old! can you believe it! These little cottages are in Higher Poynton Cheshire and were once miners cottages. If you would like to know about the history of the cottages, check this Link, scroll down and you will find a photograph - wonderful narrative and information.

What nice looking cottages Patti, & their age speaks volumes about the people who built them! Interesting history behind them too. The red flowers look real nice against their white background. Is it my imagination or is someone peeking out the one lower window at you? lol Nice capture Patti! C):-) Dan'l

Did they have the antenna things back then too. Great capture, Patti and composition. If they could only tell us what went on behind those walls all these years - maybe we don't want to know?

Very nice scene Patti and the link was interesting as well. They have really preserved them haven't they. The grounds are well kept and look really lovely and is that someone look at you looking at them? Even looks as though they have binoculars ;) Very nice capture and great post.

Did you notice that someone has spotted you photographing and they are looking at you from their window? Our5 modern day engineers ought to study these old cottages and figure out how they make them last all these years. Excellent work.

I read the link first Patti before coming back to comment on this. Very interesting and informative- Thank you. These cottages were built to last weren't they?. They are very pretty and I like how everyone has personalized them in their own way. I do see a little lady taking a peek at you though. Nice capture of history.
