..., I took this photograph from a lower vantage point (while I was taking a short rest ;)) looking south towards Winnats Pass, which you can see also on the Mam Tor (South) photograph that I posted last night. If you check back through my gallery you will also see the same view taken with my little digicam.

I can really tell the difference between the 2 cameras Patti. This one is much much better. The colors just seem so vibrant here compared to the other shot. It really is a beautiful place with the wide open landscape and the sheep are just darling here. Thanks Patti.

there are several reasons why i especially like this one. the color is wonderful. the zig zag of the fence leads you into the picture but also presents a point of interest in the foreground. the horizon is nice and straight which to me is essential. can't think of anything else except congrats on an excellent capture. jen

Beautiful landscape Patty! I agree with Eileen & Jen..better colors on this one! What a view you have from up there! The fence even adds to this, along with that little sign post. Quite a dip or depression behind that farm place. Looks like it drops off quikly there! Very nice shot Patti..looks great!! C):-)

The big dip you can see Daniel is Winnats Pass - I did a bit of research and found this information, which tells you just how it was formed. :)

Clarity to infiniity, Patti, and there's so many interesting things going on from this angle, too. I read about the big dip - I wonder if they've put any of those fossils on display anywhere? Amazing capture of a beautiful countryside! - Patty with a y

This is really good. You are getting wicked with that new camera. What a beautiful scene. This is a keeper. Is that the cement factory way over to the left that was in the other picture you posted? This is so peaceful and the pastel colors are delightful. Very well accomplished.

The fence and the animals grazing really make the shot for me. A wonderful composition, Patti. And, with the vehicles on the road, you get a great perspective on the amount of distance covered. Great photo!
