.....and this little lone geranium is the last one standing in my geranium patch in the garden - so pretty! The little seeds on the flower's petals will fall and become next years flowers.
The last of the season flowers are as special in their own way as the 1st blossoms. This is a very different variety of geranium than I've ever seen. Quite lovely Patti!

And so the seasons come and new life springs eternal Patti. Knowing that the seedlings will come back from this beauty and make new beauty in the spring makes it bearable to say so long for now. Lovely color, clarity and the frame is especially nice. Thanks for this one.
The frame adds to the comments you posted with this upload in that it's fading out, as are the fresh flowers of this past season. This is a lovely geranium and I didn't realize that they could survive to renew in the spring. It's probably a more temperate clime where you are. Your closeup and treatment are so very clear that it presents a feature that I especially love, and that is being able to see every little vein and the ability to trace its darker lines along the lighter colors in the petal. You certainly did catch this one in time, as I can see that you're right...the seeds are there just waiting for a propitious wind to come along and whisper to them as they are swept off the petal platform and on to the waiting ground. :)PJ
I like your title and the capture of the seeds. Life renews. You captured the flowers so realistically, I feel that I touch it and partake of it's velvety texture. Well done.

I know you hate to see them fade away Patti. This is such a pretty flower. Looks like it's trying to hold on as long as it can to please you with its' beauty. Very nicely presented and I love the framework you've used.
