...I wonder what history they would tell us. Before the villas were built all over the hill, these little buildings were dotted here and there! I can just imagine how peaceful it must have been. It is nice to stop and stare and let your imagination wander ...and what a view to wake up to every day! no adjustments made to this photograph - it is as taken.

Wow, what a spectacular view! The sky looks like you could almost reach out and touch the clouds. Yes, it would be an interesting story if they (the walls) could share what they have seen over the years. Thanks for sharing.

without fences and walls .... who needs gates and windows? ;)
(anti pc jest :P)

a cool composition
the tree on the left could do with intruding a little bit more imho but never the less its a super photo
sky clouds
contour of the land
the sandy coloured stone and the clip of sea
all go to make a well crafted image :)

I really like the way the tree on the left frames the clouds. Good work again, Patti.

What a beautiful shot this is! I like the way the sloping land and the tree pull the eye up into the picture. Those amazing clouds give the picture a 3D quality. The color, detail and clarity are fantastic and that little touch of lavender adds even more life to this great picture.

Patti, this is another "Wish I was There" photo of yours - really well done in every way possible. Yes, wouldn't it be grand if it could all be that simple again!

Yes.....the angles and colors are what make this the superior photo that it is. The blue of the ocean is something you're getting very good at capturing, I've noticed, and it adds a lot to a scene such as this with its glowing aspect that makes the whole image rich in depth as well as complexion. There have been so many good comments that have been posted before me, and they have all been observant and helpful, but I don't remember anyone saying anything about another element of angle that helps to create the natural frame and that is the flowers along the left-hand side where the tree is adding its ponderous feel. I think that they add a whimsical touch with the light purple to this well endowed upload with all the elements that go to make an artistically as well as realistically pleasing scene. Yes, it is sad to think of how peaceful it must have been for someone long ago to be one of only a handful of people to enjoy the atmosphere here, but I'm just glad the venue itself is still here for the rest of us to enjoy and hopefully that it will continue to delight many others as it has us. Plus..lol...looks to me like they might have had a problem with water in the basement from the way it's sitting on that hillside..lol..it's a New England thing :))))))))PJ

I like the angles in this composition. Whatever those walls contined, they sure had a fanyastic view. The clouds in this composition are awesome. Theyn looks like little fluffy cottonballs. The entire picture as a whole is very beautiful. Well done.

I love the angle you shot this at Patti. It makes for a very beautiful photo. The surroundings with lush grass and trees make it look very tropical. I imagine there is a lot of history here. Can you imagine if someone did live here at one time? What a view they had to enjoy. A perfect post this is by all means and into my favs.
