...and it isn't gin and tonic! lol! well here I am down at the sea edge and time to take off my shoes and get my feet wet! :):) This is just along the shore from the white tower which is a lighthouse as many of you guessed. I sat by the sea for 30 mins or so just in the quiet and no-one to be seen, with just my thoughts for company. ....and wondering how the heck I was going to get back up that hill again in the very hot mid-afternoon sun lol!

What a contrast to the tranquility of your other photo - this is powerful, well done and I really like the two different colors for the top/bottom borders that compliment there neighbor colors so well. Very nice, Patti!

Presss slowlly...and presto!! A perfect capture of a perfectly formed wave. I can't get over the quality of this shot. The clarity is excellent, the composition is superb and the angle you chose is one that creates a mood of restful repose for your viewer. I like this angle, and I am not opposed to taking things from a unique point of view (as Jzaw suggests), but it depends entirely on what you are trying to give the viewers of your composition, and I have the feeling that if you sat there that long, lulled and soothed by the sounds of the ocean as it broke over the rocks with only your thoughts and the surrounding elements to contemplate that you were weaving all this into what we ultimately see and enjoy here. :) Colorwise, you've also brought us a great contrast between the deep subaqueous green of the water, the spumescent white spray, and the dark damp reds of the stones mixed with the lighter dry aspects. I could sit here for hours feeling tranquil and at peace...great post :)PJ

Leave it to you to name a picture "On The Rocks". I like the pattern the foam lays out in front of the wave. It has been captured so realistically, I can hear the foam hiss and gurgle. The varied colors of the rocks cap it all off. Excellent work.

Beautifully sharp capture of the waves, Patti, and I sure the time spent in contemplation was worth the uphill climb. One comment, I think the color at the top of the frame would also work quite well at the bottom.
