...land of Mazart, Salzburg, ....and this view was taken from the .........bar/cafe which is on the roof of the Hotel Stein (where else would you expect to find a bar?) - I found it!! lol! - it pays to do a bit of research before you go! ...and this is one of the best views over the old town, so someone somewhere had a brilliant brainwave when they decided to put this bar here. There are even blankets to wrap around you if you want to sit and admire the view in the icy cold weather. ...and don't worry because there is a lift! ;)

Now this view would have been spoiled, if you had indulged in your normal routine of Inebriations!...the camera would have had the terrible shakes, you get with that complaint and we would have missed out on this stunning and excellent picture!......lol

now...tell me about that comment of jerry's eh?

Oh glad to hear there is a lift !! would be bad to go down a stair after a few...hehe he
You captured Salzburg just great here, did you had a tripod at hand here ?
The colors of the windowshops are great, the castle looks lovely on top there, and the red from the austrian flag/banners give it some more warm color.
Top shot.

A bar with blankets? You must have been in hog-heaven as we would say over here. This is a superb semi-action capture. lots of activity going on. I like it.

Man this photo brings back some pleasant memories. I love Salzburg, stayed there for a couple days at the youth-hostel. Nothing like sitting by the river in the Salzburg night air with a couple of good friends.

I absolutely love this shot! I visited Salzburg with my family when they came to see me while I was living in Germany a few years ago. Great times! The architecture was so beautiful! You really captured a lot of wonderful things in this photo! The mountain, the castle, the river, the lights on the street....great job! (I saved this in my faves months ago and just revisited today :) )
