.....like dreams in your mind! I love the way the fortress was illuminated high above the city and was visible from nearly everywhere around the old town in Salzburg. the sculpture at the front of the photograph is Neptune's fountain (Neptunbrunnen), built in 1732 and another horse pond. the group of figures depicts Neptune on a horse of the sea accompanied by two water -spouting tritons. This pond again was dry while I was there - they were cleaning it out in preparation for Christmas. I still have lots more photos to show you so I will intersperse them with any new ones I have. :)

Very nice Patti, a bit odd though to find a Neptune in a country who has no sea bordering, but the fountain looks great with castle on top of it !

Another awesome looking shot Patti! They keep coming like this I'll never get tired of them! I'm glad they keep the fortress illuminated at night..what a great way to show it off to the world! The fountain is great also! Sounds like these people were horse lovers..makes them a-ok in my books! lol Again, nicely done Patricia!

It's very grand and yet with the castle appearing to be floating about the whole take, at first I wondered if you had manipulated it in. There's so much beauty in these posts of yours and I'm enjoying them all :)PJ

The fountain is so elegant and the castle is so surreal, it all makes for a very dramatic image. Teriffic shot Patti.
