...I was out walking in the Northern Woods at Styal Cheshire later this afternoon - it is getting darker sooner than I realised, but I caught a glimpse of the sun on the tops of the trees.

It is not one of my favorites from you. I do not know why - maybe to dark, maybe I need your big area pics. But it is still a good picture.

I think it's great Patti, the way the trees in the back are illuminated and the fore ground is dark.......very nice job. I wanna see some pictures of Sherwood Forest .....where is that from you?? Maybe you'll catch Robin Hood hangin' out. LOL

Strange, but i had the same thought as Sabine already wrote above. (maybe to dark she wrote) but then i opened it full size, and my hesitation was gone in an instand.
The thumb above does not do the image justice at all, only in full size, the dark area's become filled with detail and green/brown colors. The sun glowing on the middle makes it a total winner again.

I too like the way you captured the sun in the back of the trees. Gives them a nice golden effect. Thanks for sharing it.

That is a beautiful capture. As anybody knows, I love the woods and picturesque trees. Love the way the sun is gracing and illuminating their tops. This is a keeper.

Patti, recently you've sent in a number of photographs with beautiful landscapes. I wasn't able to comment on every photograph, but now I like to say: 'Thank you for those nice captures'. Regards, Cornelius.
