....a view from the Mönschsberg hill looking over the river to Salzburg's new town ...and even the new looks old and very picturesque! ...and I am in the woods again! lol! There is a wonderful woodland walk all around the top part of the hill with views all around the city - I stood on a bench to take this one! shhhhhhh! :)

Although i have been to Salzburg many times, even as a child of age 4, with my parents, i have not seen the city like this.
So i am loving this image to bits. the detail showing in this image is enormous, thank you for this great post. Now i go back, and view it again, to see what i missed out on, thanks Patti, for this new perspective on the city/town.

Just beautiful how it is surrounded by mountains Patti and what a gorgeous view this is. The church in the center foreground really steals the spotlight from the other buildings. It is just magnificent looking. Thanks Patti and your secret is safe with me LOL.

A great piture...the perfect spot. Back in the woods again eh? I thought by telling you about Jack the Tripper that maybe you would have taken heed but no! Ok...if you get tripped don't say I didn't warn you.

Wow..another beauty comes out of your camera!! Is there no limit Patti?? I hope not! lol Love the way you framed this in the branches! It amkes almost a natural oval shaoped frame. The buildings colors are awesome. Seems like this place is surrounded by hils & mountains. Another notch in your gun belt..err..make that camera strap Patti! C):-)

What can I say. That is a fabuously clear capture. And, what a magnificent view. It is beautiful. I like the tree branches dipping down from the top to serve as a partial frame. There is so much to look at in this composition. It is perfect in every way.

Interesting...on this post I read all the comments first, then I blew the picture up to full size and viewed it and then I read your blurb...fun to shake things up once in a while especially when I'm this late to a post..*nods on each of the great comments you received, and it's true you just keep getting better and better. Must be you and your new equipment are finding some quality time together :)PJ

A stunning shot Patti. I imagine that by now the leaves have gone and snow may have arrived. The wide aperature you have used has given a great depth of field. The crafting of your composition is wonderful. I'm envious of your location! Happy snapping. Iain.

Superbly composed Patti and the clarity is amazing with even the furtherest away buildings being sharp. Exceptional work.
