....I was out early this afternoon walking across the Derbyshire countryside - and now my new boots are covered in mud! lol! but those boots were made for walking... ;) I was following the Monsall trail from Ashford heading for Monsall Head which has spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside. However, I had to turn back before I got there, otherwise I would have been heading back in the dark, but I got to enjoy some lovely views. I went through this gate pretty quickly and you will see why from my next photo..... lol!

This is light and a view that can only be found in Northern English countryside. It is a very engaging shot. Great stuff Patti.

I really like the stone wall/fence. Hope you closed the gate behind you, and as to the bulls in the next picture, don't worry about them - horns or no horns. Hope you didn't get any blister's on your feet from your new boots...

the gates and stiles are everywhere where you have the right of way - in England lots of trails take you through farmland - I was either walking through gates or climbing over stiles every few minutes - probably about 10 in all on my walk yesterday and it was verrrrryy muddy! my feet got sucked into the ground in places! my boots look like they have character now!!! lol!

How nice they don't mind if you cross their land. You'd get shot if you did that here LOL. Lovely countryside you're sharing and I really like the way you have the gate here as an invitation to follow.
