...heading back towards the lane from the River Wye we will pass by the Netherdale Farm and this beautiful big tree - spreading it's arms like it is about to give you a bug hug! We are on Monsal Dale, Derbyshire UK - and the car is not too far away (just up the big hill! lol!) so everyone on board and I will drive up to Monsal Head where I was on Christmas Eve - hold tight! I have been known to zooOOOom along! (Netherdale Farm has been used as a film location and in this link you will find a reference to the unmarked grave in the last photograph in the story of the 'Watercress Girl')

Very interesting and I feel this time (like I did often) that there is no time in this part of your country. If they would have had cameras there, this photo could have been taken 300 years ago also. Great shot again.

I'm begining to think I wish I had your energy to go and see these places. Right Now it's 24degF which is the highest it's been in about 2 weeks. So this shot is absolutly warm looking to me. And very good I might add, especially the way you captured the shadows. Thanks again for a great shot. ;-)

Well, if John hadnt thrown my hat in the river I would have gotten shot gun! Hope you dont mind your seats getting a little wet Patti! LOL I like Sabines comment above and have to agree with her! It probably didnt look much different from this hundreds of years ago! Nice to see land still wide open & undeveloped for the most part. Excellent series Patricia..umm..do you have a blanket..I'm a little chilled.. LOL C):-)

A nice view and a fine pic. Can we stop at the farm for coffee? I'll just wait there while you run up that hill and get the car. No sense in two of us getting winded.

Just got back from reading all about this place with the link you sent...all I can say is wow..I want to see that movie !!...what a great story..too bad I read the whole plot. I think they should have hired you to set up the shots on that site. Yours are way better than the ones they used...thanks for the info, Patti...love your walking tours.

I'd give this tree a hug for sure, it's fantastic. I love the composition with the wall and the hut as well. Thankyou good tour guide for the info, and for the link as well.
