......the lady herself - a church has stood on this spot since 1070, although the present day church was built in 1835.

The tower reminds me on a lot of churches here in Vienna. A very lovely church all together and a great weather you had that day too. Great shot.

WHAT IS MAN WITHOUT THE BEASTS? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man. All things are connected. ~Chief Seattle VISIT MY GALLERY

Love this image of a Church ... nicely composed and pretty as a calendar picture. Just a thought but the church itself is distorted somewhat. I'm not sure but I think it's called "barrel distortion" from the lens. Whatever it's called I'm almost certain it can be corrected. Hans (Dutch_Postings) or any of the many talented members would probably know how it's done in postwork. Of course you may well know how to do all that fancy-dancy stuff yourself ... in which case this dolt will bow out gracefully begging a thousand pardons my Queen. :o)

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

Yes, lovely capture. But the distortion is very high, due to the use of the large angle of your zoom lens. If you want to avoid it, you must move back and take the photo with the adjustment of your zoom lens halfway.
You can also correct the distortion with a software, but to move back is easier... ;-)
