...This is the largest square in the Old Town of Salzburg, surrounded by the residence of the former prince-archbishops and the "New-Residence". The Residenzbrunnen (fountain) in the centre was created by Italian sculptor Tommaso di Garona (1656-61) and is said to be the largest and most beautiful Baroque fountain outside of Italy. Next time I visit I hope to see the fountain working. In the centre you can also see the horses and carriages - remember the photograph of the two horses I posted entitled "Did I tell you lately that I love you"?

lol noooo I just cloned them out! haha! well actually the only thing I cloned out on here was some workmen on the right and their orange and white warning cones! it was just as seen otherwise - I was there at a very quiet time of the year - beginning of November - inbetween the end of the main tourist season and the Christmas festivities - I think it was a good time to go considering as I hate to be in huge crowds and it gave me space to really look at the buildings and explore without the hastle. :)

Good job Patti, the picture probably doesn't really do it justice as far size goes. Very pretty indeed my dear.

A lady has the right to her secrets, so I won't ask what's in your little black book.
However, as to the photo. Very good use of the light and shadows, and no matter how hard I look, I can not tell where you cloned out anything. An outstanding job, my dear. Into my desktop file for sure. ;-)

Great dept, and a very low angle Patti, the low sun hides the horses a little, but it made the image all the better, since there is something left to guess then,
well done again.

Well, if the fountain's baroque why dont they fix it?? LOL Sorry Patti..just couldnt resist! ;) I do recall that earlier photo well, as you were playing on my weakness of captures with horses, as this one is too! They're all dressed up for the holiday with the red & green blankets they have. Nice shot as always Ms. Fogz!

Beautiful composition Patti and the light playing on the building and the people is so great. Nice clarity and lots of interest. You always get the most beautiful sky :) Thanks for this one.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
