...the unofficial national anthem of Scotland, written by the Roy Williamson. The song refers to the victory of the Scots at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, so what better view to give you than the capital itself, Edinburgh. The monument you see here at the top of Calton Hill is the Dugald Stewart Monument, a memorial to the Scottish philosopher Dugald Stewart . It was built in 1831 and modelled on the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates in Athens, Greece.

The clarity throughout not to mention the placement of the monument ... dominant but not overpowering that city scape behind ... made it simple to score this one ... HIGH!! Gotta scoot ...
