..........the stone of remembrance, built to commemorate the people of Edinburgh who lost their lives in the first World war, unveiled by Prince Henry on Armistice Day 1927. The building you see behind is the City Chambers.

It apears (at least to me) that there is something wrong here with the memorial.
It seems to be a socket without a statue on top. Now it looks only to be a socket with : Their Name Liveth For Evermore...who's names ? nothing to show for that.
And as aftherthought, there is a little bronze plaque : to all fallen in war. (Then 1927, not knowing it would only be the first, and a second would follow shortly)

I like, how you shot this through the frame - so we have many different dimenssions. Good job. But I also feel, that something is missed on this socket.

I imagine that the lighting was provided, either that or you caught the sun on it just right..at any rate it must be a shot later in the afternoon as I see lights on in the building in back. I'm trying to get around to saying that I like the light that shines softly on the engraving on this memorial..nice job.
