I am hungry for the crocus that, Each spring, flood our windowsill, With golden brightness, sunshine rays, Distilled to petals lucent gleam - Please come, I need you. Need the beauty for my life Seems ugly to me. Dark as winter Seem my days. I strive, like you Towards the light of happiness, Yet it evades me. Come, crocus, Let your fire of orange pistils Burn within my heart. You are the hope that I have missed And lived without all winter long; Come, crocus, come, and bring me Spring. This is so beautiful. I am really touched by all this beauty. I do not know the rules for taking pics of flowers, but I know for sure, you followed them all. Fantastic! And so I take the flowers and put them into my favs and give them water there.

You have outdone yourself on this shot Patti! The shading of the leaves show their delicate translucency as well as their awesome color! You framed this to accentuate the blossoms perfectly. I have added this to my favorites as well as my desktop. It is sharp. The colors are incredible, The composition is spot on, great clarity and highest of quality. Kudos to you my friend on this shot. I too, long for Spring and the appearance of the lovely crocus. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem and piece of art with me ;=)
