....and that is exactly what this is called - the street that runs from Edinburgh Castle down through the town to Hollyrood Palace. There are some amazing historical buildings lining this route! The church you see to the right is called the Tron Kirk church founded in 1637 by King Charles I. The church closed in 1952 and now houses an exhibition on the history of the Royal Mile. ....and I see they have some very interesting shops too - do you see the sign on the barrel on the left? hmmm! mmmm! lol!

What a beautiful shot. This is all so very british for me - the beautiful part of british architecture. And your shot is very good of it with that view into the street and the great lighting.

A nice city view, very nice, the sky looks perfect, chances are that skies like shot in such a manor, can get all whited out, but not here.
I see those old phoneboots still, i thought they got rid of them ?

Well, we know this was the last shot YOU took that day Patti! LOL Great job, this looks so neat with the sun just catching the tops of the buildings like that. Love all the old architecture too. They should ban the modern looking cars from here! They look out of place! lol

I agree Daniel, but all the ranting and raving I did to try and make them move and to get the people to disappear did not work - they just thought I was a mad English woman! lol!

Great shot Patti, I also agree with Daniel about the cars, They should ban them in every old looking city, or at least in the town centre. It looks very calm there Patti, when I was there, there were a lot of people (meybe because of the fabulous weather, and maybe because of the festival going on there :)
