......a closer look at the beautiful old Church of Holy Cross in Ilam (pronounced Eye-Lam) in Staffordshire. This is an ancient site of worship and it is thought that one of the walls of the church dates right back to the time of the Saxons and within the graveyard there are two Saxon crosses! amazing!

I thin that the center tree and all the brnaches makes this church look even more impressive. It's awsome to think how old some parts of it are...This is a gorgeous composition and capture, Patti. :)

I like the way you left the tree in the picture and the branches on the ground. Lots of people would have taken them out. Overall a very good shot, Patti. ;-)

The lighting and shadows here are beyond compare Patti. Very lovely capture and I especially like the angle you shot this at to include this huge tree.

Beautiful job. Must be nice to find something nearly as old as Owd Bob. Love the greens and the architecture on this.

This is nearly as old as OB? It's weathered very well !

A lovely feeling of peace and continuity is in this picture. Great presentation also - as always.
