Well as an aircraft fan as i am, i must love the image Patti, the detail in this Virgin Jumbo is great, (one minor critic, the horzontal fin is just outside the image but could be edited straight in, for the rest i do like it a lot ! ) Seeing you took the shot against a perfect blue sky, the lightmeter must have worked overtime here, and although a hard shot to take under this condition, all detail on the bottom still shows. Did you use stops to underlight, or did you use your gamma correction to get it this way ?

yes I was a bit disappointed I cut off the tip of the tail Hans, but I was quite pleased with the whole image! :) and no I do not wear earplugs, I have double glazing and I am so used to the sound that I do not notice it! ;)

At least if they're just takin' off they won't be droppin' any "blue ice" on ya. LOL I like this one Patti, just move it over and clone a small piece of tail on it if it bothers ya. :)

Couldn't be much clearer if you were standing at the end of the runway (of course, over here, Homeland Security would be carting you away). Looks like advertisement quality to me. Super job.

This shot is bound to get the plane buffs salivating (sorry Hans!). It's nice and sharp, I love the angle, and that's quite a lens you've got (or quite a high house!).

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.

Great shot. Living in Orlando, I happen to ride near the airport from time to time and am always amazed when I see one of those monsters take off. Makes me want to travel somewhere.

Is a great shot, in the past I was living near the Oporto Airport too, isn't bad at all we get use with the noise, living near a train station is much worse
