....the Monsal Dale viaduct (in Derbyshire) at close quarters - I love this zoom lens! lol! Taken from the same spot as the photograph of the valley and viaduct that I posted yesterday ....and no I was not standing on any walls or climbing any trees - I had my feet firmly on the ground! :)

What a great angle you used Patti. The old architecture and the wonderful spring green all around makes a stunning view. Looks like the people walking are enjoying Spring as well. Excellent post my friend. Thanks.

After a bit of an absence, partly vacation but mostly tax season...busy for bookkeeping businesses... I'm glad to be back out here with at least 'some' regularity. I've missed everyone and am glad to have a little more time again.

I think I should explain that this was once the main railway route to London but is now not in use, hence no trains and no traffic, just a path across the viaduct! ;)

You got a good zoom missy!...We have a lot of these old railway viaducts...A shame it does away with the trains network though!....great shot of it too!

Patti, it's a pity (to a certain extend) that's no longer a railway viaduct. In my imagination I see old steam locomotives passing by, but those nostalgic times are gone. Room for the pedestrians now. Great zoom from the same spot as your yesterday posted image. Regards, Cornelius

I love the perspective, how this lovely viaduct is nestled in such green and lush surroundings. The lighting is beautiful. It's a striking image Patti. :)

Patti, I moved your image in the new "New images->Photography->Bridges" gallery.
Same here with the magenta dominant in the enlightened area. Isn't it a problem with the white balance of your cam?
Or maybe you have pink clouds in UK... ;-)
