.......I am being very original with my titles this evening! lol! ...in the Goyt valley there are two reservoirs which sit side by side - the Errwood Reservoir which is directly behind where I am standing here and lower beyond the dam in front of me is the Fernilee Reservoir! ...when I was a child my father would bring me here, and I got bored, but now I understand the beauty that he was showing me!

So, if I have it right, this is where the road in your Goyt Valley photo would've led? I would love to ride a bicycle on that road along the reservoir, too. This is so lovely! :) Sherri

Patti, I think it's everywhere the same. In our childhood we didn't see the beauty of nature as there were for us too many other interesting things to see. But I think what our parents showed us in the past, created the underlying conditions for our interest now. To prevent that I become a kind of philosopher, I'll comment on your image now: beautiful (as usual). Regards, Cornelius

Isn't it funny how the appreciation for something like this grows with being a photographer? Absolutely awesome..your shot leads us from the inflow of water in the foreground all the way down stream and around the bend! With the clouds in the sky & their reflection in the water this shot makes it good from top to bottom! C):-)
