........and the very latest in kitchen equipment in the 15th century! ;) this is the kitchen within Haddon Hall in Derbyshire. The scorch marks along the partition wall show where the room was illuminated by candles! The only water supply was to this room. You can just imagine the kitchen workers running around in their little mop caps and aprons!

I love how you brought us back to the 15th century here. It makes you think how good we really do have it these days...although I wouldn't mind cooking over a fire in a dutch oven once and awhile. It puts things into perspective (as does this shot!!)

It looks like a time capcule... it is increadible that it stood the tooth of time, and still looks as if we are in that era.. You will not see such a kichen still remaining in original state anywhere outside the UK.
