.........this is the point where the River Earmont flows into Ullswater Lake, one of the largest and most beautiful of the lakes in the Lake District, spanning approximately 6 miles across the country. I took the steamer boat from Glenridding across to Pooley Bridge the two furthest points on the lake - more photos to follow.

Oh that's a great job Patti, looks like during a heavy rain that wouldn't be the place to be. :)

Certainly does look like it's full... I was just looking at the fence down toward the lake area. Looks like it wasn't intended to be partially submerged. Great set up on this shot, Patti!! :)

Yeah, PJ took the words right out of my mouth Patti! This is beautiful, and it sounds like a great time riding the boat, but it certainly seems the heavy rains in the UK have filled things up. ;)

Beautiful colourings - and yes the river does appear to be running very high.
Looking forward to more :)

This is a very nice view. But I think that the river area in foreground is a bit to large, or to empty, if you know what I mean. Did you have the same floods than in south England?
