......ah ha! now you thought we were on another boat ....but no! we are at Haverthwaite just in time to see the old steam train depart for Windermere. The train runs regularly throughout the day and you can purchase a ticket for the train ride and then the boat ride. Wonderful to see they still have these old trains running - I stood on the bridge taking photos as it departed - now that wasn't a very good idea! - I got a steam bath! lol! ...and something very strange happened here - look up! - a some strange phenomenon - I think it is called blue sky! lol! ....and yes this is Cumbria and you can see I had some good weather! ;)

Very good, Patti. Hope you didn't get burned by the steam. Into my favorites and on my laptop desktop. Thanks for sharing it. ;-)

I have to admitt, I thought I see something from Hans - did not look at the name at the link, smile - and Hans, if you read this, please forgive me saying, that it is in the same quality than your train shots. And Pat, please forgive me talking to Hans.

How cute and quaint. This is such a lovely scene. I love how you've captured the shine on the train and the reflections, the steam. Great work Patti. :)

I was on here last night and seen you posted this but it still wasn`t up at 1:20 when I went to bed. In a way I was glad as when I opened it up tonight my daughter was behind me and she thought right away it was the Harry Potter train to Hogwarts. I just told her yes it was and a magic lady took it. lol

Well done magic lady!

hehe he, they are quiet fun hey, those old machines :-)
From the railroad museum i have overhere, it might take up to 24 hours to steam this baby up ! imagine the work involved before you can drive a couple of miles...
