...........you decide! ....but I am not waiting around to find out! ;) ...and no word of a lie when I stood in that doorway two bats flew out and brushed the top of my head! :O

Sorry that I haven't been commenting more. Just got lazy? But I did look at most of them. And again, thanks to all of you for your comments on mine.

Wow Patti I instantly made this my desktop, and added it to my favs. From the ground up you did a tremendous job capturing the ancient look of this Fortification. Very nice job Patti thanks for posting this.

Beautifully shot, with the warmth of the stones coming through, great contrasts, and how fortunate to have such a good sky! I've never been to Haddon, but it's on my list of Must Visits now.
The architecture of this builing is magnificent Patti. I love the weathered look about it. I agree with Randy about the ivy- it just makes this appear even more gothic.
Fantastic building and a great photo. The greenery against the mellow stone is superb.
Lovely work.
Bats I can do without - scare me to death. Never see them, although there are two species live here. Known as Pekapeka in Maori :)

I'm sure the bats just blew you a kiss on the way by. They wouldn't want to get tangled up in your hair or anything... maybe next time. LOL. Lovely building, I like the darkness of it against the beautiful sky. Thanks for sharing.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Fantastic picture Patti. I called it Hogwarts :D The composition and quality of the picture is perfect. High marks from me in VB :) and in to my HD right away.
I love the shape of the castle set against the clear blue sky, and the vines are beautiful and colorful. Into my favorites. I think I'd like it even more with those stairs ont he bottom cropped off, but that's just me, excellent photo :)
Wow..there is sooo much detail in this shot its really something. The building and its' textures contrast so well with the blue skies. Very nicely done!!
Sorry to all...I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to lately. I'm a 9 to 5er again (actually more like 8:15 to 7:30 these days!!) Don't worry, I still see all of your wonderful posts, if only for a second.
Well, Lord Voldemort destroyed Hogworts but it's since been rebuilt and I choose to believe that this is how it looks now. It does fit in with the bats! Very nice, Patti -

I like all the details you captured there in the ivy, the stone walls and the windows. All this against the blue sky makes a great image. Only the black stair in the forground is a bit distracting, but that is just my personal impression ;-)
