.... in Macclesfield forest standing like soldiers on parade! ....my walk through Macclesfield forest yesterday on what promised to be a sunny day - at least it started that way and my intention was to catch some late afternoon sun and golden lights and shadows ....however.......someone turned the taps on! ...it turned into a heavy downpour. Not to be beaten I captured a few photographs through the trees in the dark and dank woods! ....good job I had my raincoat with the hood that pulls tight around my face - have you seen my ET impersonation? lol!

You're obsessed with that forest! And no wonder, it's beautiful. Shame you got soaked, but it lends something different - the light is very soft and the greens are richer. It also looks as though you've been able to shoot into the sun to get this and backlight the trees. The effect is a bit Lord of the Rings. You haven't got hairy toes have you?

A forest in the rain can be just as (if not more) beautiful as a forest in the sun - and this proves it
Greeen and gorgeous.

lol - OUCH!!! :(

Only kidding of course Patti, and yet another great picture. I love walking through woodland like this, and have plenty of locations in mind to do similar shots when I get my new camera! I love the contrast of the light foliage and dark branches in this pic too, very well done.
