....the colours of the landscape in Staffordshire - the views open up in front of you and the opportunities are endless - so many choices! I liked the rustic charm of this fence leading down the pathway and surrounding the painted landscape!

The fence is indead rustic. Looks like it was originally a wooden fence but had woven wire added to keep something in or maybe out. We don't have many fences like that around here anymore because grain farmers want every possible tillable acre. Not only are fencerows rustic, but they also provide shelter and food for a variety of birds and animals. If you couldn't tell, I like this photo. Shade and sunlight mixed helps set the mood.

What a magnificent shot! I agree that the rustic fense is key. But, I also like the way the clouds casts their huge shadow on the ground and the shadow seems to be covering the earth like a giant dark green blanket. And, what an unusal sky. The contrast between the sky and the earth just adds more to your picture.

You are a great ambassador for England. In New England we try so hard to emulate this strength of landscape and fall flat on a pine cone!! Lovely pic and great landscape as always!

Great lines and perspectives and contrasts in this shot. The foreground is just a tad too dark for me - I would have lightened the shadows just a little more - but these things are often a matter of personal preference. As for the view: first rate!

You are right, the fence is charmant, but I do not think, it serves any purpose. Any ordinary cow could run through it - or?

Wonderful picture. It makes me think of being a kid again. I grew up just outside Macclesfield in Cheshire and this landscape is very similar to the hills between Macc and Buxton. Thank you.
