Slowly, silently, now the moon Walks the night in her silver shoon; This way, and that, she peers, and sees Silver fruit upon silver trees; One by one the casements catch Her beams beneath the silvery thatch; Couched in his kennel, like a log, With paws of silver sleeps the dog; From their shadowy coat the white breasts peep Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep; A harvest mouse goes scampering by, With silver claws, and silver eye; And moveless fish in the water gleam, By silver reeds in a silver stream. poem by Walter de la Mare photograph taken when I was in Spain last week ......the sunrise, sunsets and visions of the moon were beautiful memories of my trip ....the rest remains a secret! haha!

Sorry Patti but I just want to know about the secrets. I mean, itīs a great shot but there are so many questions...What were you doing out at that hour? Was there a tripod involved? How many cocktails later was it, and exactly which ones were they?

Fantastic clarity on this. Is that Olympus Mons I can see in the middle, or the man in the moon waving back at you?

The title made me think of the bootleg drink they make in the south of the US...LOL Nothing to do with your image. That's the most stunning capture of a full moon that I've seen. I'm feeling romantic evenings, but don,t worry, I'm keeping the secret! LOL + faves

I've just been "mooned" and I love it. I try to take pictures of moon but they never look like I see it in my eye. This one does. The poem was perfect. Lots of imagery going on in poem, photo and of course "your sectets." Great capture, I think you lassoed the moon. I love dark desktops. This should be great.

This images makes a wonderful DT Patti. I'm curious which lens you've used for it. Last time I try to capture the moon, the results were poor as my biggest lens is a only a 200mm one. Well done! Regards, Cornelius
