.......today I was out in Derbyshire again in the Hope Valley and the little village of Castleton. Standing on the hill overlooking the village is Peveril Castle. Here we are standing in the courtyard and what you see here is 'the Keep' which still stands and was built by Henry II in 1176. You can read about the colourful history in the link above (*whispers* William Peveril was thought to be the illigitimate son of Henry) - you didn't hear it from me! LOL!

Beautiful sun light, shadows, and a wonderful contrast between your brillant blue sky and the lush green carpet of grass.

And I didn't hear you say it. You can be taken in through that Traitor's Gate on your own!! Isnt' it funny how there's soft manicured lawns where probably at one time there were violent battles. This is like a lone watchtower standing guard over the Teletubbies set!! Lovely shot.

Been there! And photographed it with a Brownie box camera, oh, ages ago when I was just 12! Nice to see that it's so unchanged, except that they've thought of Bob and put a couple of benches in. Lol! I like the lighting and shadows in this shot, accentuating the rolling turf. Good work!
