.....of Peveril Castle you can only imagine the past....looking down onto Castleton from the castle today. There is not much remaining, but the sense of history remains!

Patti, you put me on a natural "high" with this one. I can see so far and it's so clear. What a grand one this is. I would say they had a day or two to get ready to defend their castle.

Wow! Well, you can certainly see why the castle was built here. A perfect vantage point in case of oncoming attackers, as well as a pleasant view of the town below! Very nicely captured Patti! =)

You can imagine a lone archer in the lookout watching the valley below for signs of the enemy. This is a brilliant castle picture, really shows why they built it where they did.

Have to agree with Nigel! .. A bowman would be able to shoot an arrow right through that pub window .. I've been to Castleton! .. but did not view it from this angle!..Nice work again!
