.....returning home from Castleton last weekend I pulled into a lane to take photographs as the sun was low and bathing the land with a golden light! The sheep grazing in the field are unusual - all black/brown bodies and white heads ....would make some very nice woolly jumpers! lol!

I thought they were cows until I looked full screen. Let's see Hereford's are cows, would that make the Herechevy's? You always get such faraway look in your photos and it's so clear everywhere. They are so pleasant to look at and explore. Another great one, Patti.

Rollin Rollin Rollin - Rawhide! That's going to be rattling round my head all day today. Can you do rawhide with sheep? They're sturdy looking things aren't they - I'm with Tick, thought they were cows at first. What a great landscape. No wonder you pulled over, that's BIG country like something the other side of the Atlantic. Perfect light and clouds just above the hills too, wondderful shot and into my favourites. I'm just relieved it's not a city shot - there'd be no competing.

I'm glad you explained, because they look like cows! Most unusual coloring on them. This is a grand scene, with gorgeous lighting and shadows, and a bucolic atmosphere. :)

Boy, when I first saw those sheep, I thought they were cattle. Never seen sheep like that. Wish you could go back and get a close up of one of those. Beautiful image-a keeper.
