.....from my walk along the Bollin valley on Saturday - I parked my car alongside this gate but crossed the road to venture down to the river - I am glad I paused to capture the pathway on this side of the road first - I think Autumn is at it's peak in the Northwest of England. In one week, the scenery has changed so much ...good job I am a happy snapper and out and about all the time - one blink of the eye and it has gone!!! ....and my last upload for a few days as I am going on a short city break - and if you do not already know where I am going, I will surprise you with some photographs at weekend! :)

Know what you mean about the blink of an eye. I think my foot and mouth incident has cost me Autumn. The leaves turned and fell in just a few days. They're mostly on the ground already. You certainly caught them at their best here though, and all the better for including the stile. Great shot!!

My Gallery
Love the composition. For just deciding to take a picture on the spur of the moment, this is great. Your mind must work realy fast because this looks like it was drawn out and planned. It's a very subtle shot. The partial fence, vine growing up tree, Yellow tree like a sign pointing down the path and the pathway covered with leaves. Put them all together and you have what you see before you. A great photo. Very good Patti and enjoy yourself in the city.

Nice comp locking in the tree to the right!! Some loss of detailings though on the left leave the viewer wanting a wee more. Some sweet colorings startin' to pop in this one!!
