......it is easy to adopt the culture ...everywhere you see the amazing architecture and sculptures and everywhere you find people relaxing, enjoying their surroundings and it has an air about it like no other city! ....I really felt the need to photograph this scene of a young man reading at the foot of this amazing sculpture - it captures the very essense of what this city is all about! . - see the link in my last message below to discover more about the history of this fountain which was designed by Michaelangelo in 1536.

Must admit when I first looked at this it made me feel a bit inadequate. LOL to Jerry et al - I suppose if this is Neptune the shape would be logical though.

It's HUGE! (ehem, the statue I mean) I love that you included the guy reading down there, it really adds a sense of perspective along with the portrayal of the relaxed atmosphere. Thanks for all your comments ....now I am here to give you some more information about the statue. If you read the attached link you will see that this statue is representative of the River Nile. The fountain was designed by Michaelangelo in 1536.
