......and you can see why the area is called Stoney Middleton ....fading Autumn grasses in the rocky landscape. It is quite fun to go rock hopping here! ...the views get better the further along the path you go! Photograph taken Sunday afternoon ....last one from here until my next visit.

I know, I know. Is it because it's got stones in the middle? They're a real reminder of how old the planet is aren't they, striped by the layers they're made up of and worn by the elements. I just love this landscape.

Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.

Patti ... These last 4 posts of the Curbar Edge have each on their own merits deserved kudos ... and as a series have been simply FANTASTIC. Great job bringing this vast landscape to my eyes ... and doing it with such a professional touch. Thank You .. Thank You .. Thank You!!!

Although this spot is well known now (as result of your images), you've succeeded in capturing another beautiful Curbar Edge photograph Patti. Love this wonderful scenery!

Great shot - it looks quite bleak. If some of that vegetation is gorse (it looks like it) it will look lovely in the spring contrasting against the grey rocks.

Again I am impressed by the rocks and of course by all those fall colors. You are able to present this time of the year in such a lovely way.
