........another appendage of the Constantine Statue in the Capitoline Museum in Rome. To give you some idea of the enormity - it is 5.5 ft high (approximately 165 cms)and on its pedastal was much higher than my 5'7" stature!

It looks to me that Constantine was just ordering a round of Byzantium wine for you, his favorite guest. He was always such a good host! But, I heard that wine just goes to his head...er, where is his head?

Isn't it amazing that this thing is so ancient yet so finely sculpted. He had very artistic hands. Look at that long index finger! He would have made a great pianist if they'd had pianos back then.

Wonder what he was pointing at though - I'm about to search for a mock-up of the whole thing. You did well to get this to stand out so well from the wall, there's great detail and texture.
