.....a view of the French Alps taken from the plane (as if you didn't guess lol!) on my return journey from Rome to England last month! No changes made - I expect the green spot is a mountain lake, and it looks like there are some buildings there too at closer look.

Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.

You got me singing that song in my head now. I love that song, as well as your picture. Mountains are so awsome, and they look so majestic from a plane. Very nice shot, Patti.

Great photo Patti. Did they let you in the cockpit? I see the lake but can't distinguish any buildings. Look more like rock formations to me. Nonetheless this is outstanding work.

What a great photo, Patti. You deserved a very high score for this one, and if you don't get it, you still deserve a high score :)

Gorgeous image Patti. As you were not sitting on the roof or the wings of the plane, lol, it must have been taken through the window, but it can't be seen. Wonderful!

This is an utterly stunning shot, Patti. It's one of the best shots from a plane window I have ever seen, and incredibly clear given how smeary such windows can often be (a comment from hard experience!). This is headed straight into my Favourites, and I sincerely hope that for once the trash trolls behave themselves and give this shot the rating it deserves.

Who told everybody Patti was "in" the plane, the picture being so clear and beautiful, she could have attached herself to the wing of the plane, lol. Wouldn't you Patti?!!

This is really an outstanding image. Its so detailed and clear and I absolutely love all the cloud cover! You can still get a feel for all the textures and angles in the mountain, even from so high up. The shadows and earth tones are perfect. Right into the favs where it belongs!!
