Looks like you got them both in one shot. Love the reflection. Green looks good and the matching frame adds. I know all about the sky. Good post Patti.
Two super captures of the Duke and Duches of Devonshire's Derbyshire home. (Well, you knew that I was a "Staffy" didn't you?) Have you seen the famous "violin-on-the-door" painting? I have seen only pictures myself but my late parents told me that it was unbelievable.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, great pictures and thanks for sharing. Ian
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Not to sound dumb, but a little ignorant, is this a castle of some type or just a large mansion? Whatever it is its gorgeous! Well taken photo Patti!

I imagined!...and..yes...it's Grey!!...
Nice work honey, it's a beautiful place!..ain't it...and you caught it twice!...great reflections too...No benches there, that I can see.....or try!
A good example of how to raise up a nice shot from inclement lighting conditions. I like the frosty green colour of the lawns. The rain-dappled stonework of the house says it all!
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

Hi Patti, number 1 was good but this is better! I prefer the closer view on this pic, and again you've taken a shot in cloudy conditions and made it look so lively. This shot is just like the manor - rather grand!

ps I think it's your weekend residence really..... ;-)
Haven't looked at 1 yet, I'm working backwards. Like the reflections in this and although the sky's a bit featureless the soft light really works. Nice angle too, really gives a sense of what it would be like to approach the house.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.

Great angle & nicely framed shot of "The most beautiful estate in the world" (My opinion anyway), I could photograph this building and it's grounds forever.
Nice scene of this owd structure!!
I see rainbows with ponies on them in the sky...thanks!!
