.....second of the two images I have uploaded tonight of the manor house at Chatsworth. I liked the angled reflection in this one. ...and no I was not drunk, it is straight! ;) lol!
Just because it's straight doesn't mean you weren't drunk Patti, you just got lucky.....probably took a hundred shots.......errr with the camera. LOL Great job my dear, when are they going to invite us up for tea ??
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
This view and angle looks like it should be enlarged and in a beautiful frame to surround it! It'd make an excellent artwork for a wall!! Bravo Patti!

The fact your able to hold a camera level even though "sloshed" is not astonishing to me. Can't say that about the outcome ... the image IS quite astonishing to me. Having said that I think "manor (1) would be my pick of the two. Perhaps that tree blocking the manor makes the difference for me. The closeup detail in manor (1) is very striking along with the reflection. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. :)
I like this one even better. It looks like an old paintig of the manor. I agree with you about the reflections, they are very beautiful. I like the composition in this one very much.
Also this reflect the importance of this paace. On the architecture point of view I find something which recall me Vienna.
I believe that currently is a luxurious hotel, but I don't know if there're still a side reserved as residence of the Duke of Devonshire; I will ck on web.
Very well done indeed.
Another very good example of how to make the most of challenging weather conditions. The DOF is very good and I like the decision to include some of the near bank in the shot, not just the far bank. The colour of the lawns is even better than in the first shot.
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
You make it hard to decide which I like better. And since that is too hard a task for me, I will just decide to love them both. I love the clouds in this one, though.
I think this works better - it's disconcerting including so much foreground isn't it? I nearly always stop myself doing it because I think whatever I'm photographing is getting too small, but it usually works better. The angle here is really good too, it makes for good diagonals.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
