.......I caught these trees in low sun late this afternoon. No postwork saturation added - I have been adjusting my camera settings by increasing the saturation and tone and reducing the sharpness by changing the picture style custom settings. I added some sharpness later in Photoshop.

I point and shoot, you mean I'm doing it wrong ?? LOL I consider mine good if I get the subject matter in there. :) I like this Patti, the trees really stand out well with the amber colour.

Patti,
This is lovely. I like the tree branches against the blue sky. The earth tones are wonderful, a great shot.

Very nice Patti. I like the contrast of the white bark of trees versus amber vegetation and blue sky. All the colors are sharp but soft. Very good post.

Its a lovely effect Patti - colours are so warm. I too have been experimenting with camera settings for this purpose - sometimes works sometimes not for me.
Yours most certainly has - well done, I love this one.
(My picture of Lake Brunner was shot on 'warm' saturation)

Good girl...don't sharpen in camera, do it in post work. Usually sharpening is the last step...eliminates artifacting. Looks like fall there.

The amber tones are rich and gorgeous. It's a lovely composition, depicting well the sense of decay of Autumn (although I know it wasn't captured in that season). :)

Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
