Glad it's not "over the edge." What a view. I love it. I don't think I would get to close to edge if wind were blowing very hard. Clarity, composition and coloring are really good. C, C, C, Senorita. Bravo Patti.

Now this is a pretty good shot, must have gotten a lucky clear day as the colors are clear. Fairly nice framing. A little off on the camera angle as the top of the rock on the right is even with the horizon when it would have been better being a bit higher than the horizon.

Wow, what a masterful job at composition. I was blown away when I got this up on full screen. I agree with Drakaran that a classically better angle would be with the rock slightly above the horizon, but having it level increases the impact as the viewer slowly realizes that he is standing right on this huge precipice. I love pictures that take me by surprise. I'm never keen on dark bands used as frames...I'd rather the frame, if needed as a filler as in this case, continue the same color tones as the original picture. Great job. Thanks!
This is a very nice image. I like how you've managed to keep most of the background as well-focused as the rocks in the foreground. Did you take other shots from this vantage point? That high rock outcrop to the far right hides a bit along the horizon line. If another shot were taken about 2 feet lower and just a bit closer to the edge (so that reddish foliage below wouldn't be lost), that outcrop would be above the horizon line and would further delineate the various layers of geology going on in the photo. I'm happy to give it a 75 rating. Thanks for submitting. I get wordy because I get tired of comments on submissions that are one sentence long and don't seem to serve a purpose.
I was worried when I saw the title of this. Made me think of Almodovar, 'Women on the edge of a nervous breakdown'. You wouldn't want to have a nervous breakdown anywhere near THIS edge that's for sure. This is a stunner Patti, beautifully balanced with the rock framing the landscape. I hope you were wearing flats though, you'd take your life in your hands getting this close to a precipice in slingbacks.
Well done and very supportive of your rule of thirds. I really like the frame of the shot in lighter colors and the center in stronger. It gives great dof.
